The professional will primarily work on Caterpillar Electric and Detroit Diesel engines typically used on drilling rigs. The candidate should have at least 2 years of verifiable field experience. The candidate must live or be willing to relocate to the operational area.
Perform maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on Caterpillar Electric and Detroit Diesel engines
Travel to field locations to conduct service
Assist other mechanics when needed


Qualifications
  • Previous experience maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing Caterpillar Electric and Detroit Diesel engine
  • Verifiable experience working in a field environment
  • Experience working at a Caterpillar dealership is considered a plus
  • Professional training is desired but not required
  • Ability to travel to field locations within assigned areas

Description

 The EH&S Specialist will provide technical assistance to field personnel for the implementation of EH&S policies and procedures. The position will work with the operations staff to collect and maintain required EHS data. In addition, this position will work closely with Corporate EH&S staff to provide interpretation, clarification and provide EHS training. Other duties include regulatory compliance during construction and maintenance projects, monitoring contractor conformance and compliance, establishing local regulatory relationships, conduct incident investigations and oversight of remediation and clean-up projects to name a few.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements for this position:

  • Operations experience in the oil and gas industry along with knowledge of applicable statutes and regulations
  • Experience in a safety, regulatory, environmental or compliance position is a plus
  • This person must be able to establish strong relationships in a field operating environment
  • Also required are the ability to function in field conditions and inclement weather, a valid state issued driver's license, and the ability to travel overnight and work evenings and weekends as needed.
