Description:
The mission of the Vice President of Sales – Wind Energy Americas is to increase
profitable revenue by establishing, growing, and managing trusted customer relationships
with wind energy OEMs and owner/operators. The first-year objective will be €2
million margin-qualified sales.
Responsibilities:
- Establish relationships with new customers by dedicating a fixed amount of time every
day to cold-calling prospects and securing orders for hard-to-source electronic parts
- Upsell parts customers on product repair and other supply chain service offerings
- Upsell supply chain services customers on professional services and software
offerings
- Present customized DEX Solutions to various decision making audiences to close new
business
- Manage relationships with existing customers to protect ongoing revenue streams as well
as identifying and capturing opportunities for add-on business
- Engage customers in ongoing dialog to ensure full understanding of their businesses and
timely identify problems to which DEX can offer solutions yielding profitable revenue
growth
- Collaborate with DEX Solutions team to develop sector strategies including account
targeting and sector marketing activities
- Alert senior DEX Solutions management to inhibitors, obstacles, and delays to satisfying
customers’ expectations or expanding business opportunities
- This position reports to the President
Qualifications/Requirements:
- 10 years or more in high tech services sales environment with a proven track record, at
least five years of which must be in a senior-level role in the wind energy sector (not
necessarily in a sales role)
- Four-year undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in
marketing, business, engineering, or physical sciences
- Demonstrated record as a closer of sales opportunities
- Familiarity with wind energy technology, parts, and maintenance
- Strong professional network in the wind energy industry
- Thorough understanding of differences in wind energy OEM, Developer, Operations
- Maintenance, and Utilities market characteristics
- Articulate – executive level communication skills
- Must be a highly motivated “Self-starter” with a strong sense of personal
accountability
