Description:
This company is a leading provider of demand response energy efficiency solutions and has
an immediate need for a Business Development Manager to join their sales team. In this
role, you will apply expert sales mechanics and an intimate knowledge of end user energy
usage to growing their world-class business. While you will be tasked with becoming a
subject-matter expert in their Demand Response solution, as they continue to expand their
suite of innovative energy service offerings, you will have opportunities to cross-sell
new products to an existing customer network. Working out of your home office, you will

organization which has been driving revenue for their publicly-traded company by leaps and

Company unlocks the full value of energy management for their utility and commercial,
institutional, and industrial (C&I) customers by reducing real-time demand for
electricity, increasing energy efficiency, improving energy supply transparency in
competitive markets, and mitigating emissions. This is accomplished by delivering
world-class energy management applications. The Operations Center supports these
applications across thousands of C&I customer sites throughout the world. Using the
C&I customers’ energy usage flexibility, they make capacity, energy, ancillary
services, and carbon products available to grid operators and their more than 100 utility
customers on demand as a cost-effective alternative to traditional power generation,
transmission, and distribution.
Responsibilities:
As a Business Development Manager, your primary mission is to evangelize the
company’s Demand Response product and drive revenue for the company. Your inherent
“hunter” mentality and lead generation expertise will enable you to quickly
identify and qualify sales opportunities to build and maintain a pipeline for new
business. Proven success navigating complex sales will be key to consulting with DR
customers and generating proposals to meet unique energy management needs. This position
will require you to be comfortable demonstrating precise value propositions and
effectively illustrating ROI to C-level decision-makers, as well as interacting with
facilities managers and engineers to present a Demand Response proposal that meets their
individual operational needs; for that reason, previous experience selling into large
commercial or industrial end users would be an asset to your candidacy. You will be held
accountable to an aggressive quota in addition to retaining long-term customers and
achieving high satisfaction ratings while balancing competition with collaboration as a
contributor to team goals.
