Embedded System Engineer – Solar Inverters
Location: Austin, TX

Our client is a well-funded microinverter manufacturer based in the U.S. This is a leadership position in which you will be responsible for developing and expanding partnerships and growing business across North America.

Description:
In the position of Embedded System Engineer you will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining microprocessor code that controls microinverters for ACPV applications. You will work with all relevant groups (hardware, software, quality, etc) to achieve program goals and meet critical time to market product deadlines. Principal duties include developing and testing micro-processor code, developing and running regression tests to validate firmware releases, and to help analyze field returns.

Responsibilities:
- Design micro-processor code for state-of-the-art microinverters for ACPV.
- Design functional and module level regression test of firmware
- Work with test team to develop system level DVT test
- Work with application to analyze firmware aspect of field returns

Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in design of micro-processor code using C
- Solid debug and test skills
- Strong background in using lab equipment (i.e. logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.) to test code functionality
- Experience in timing critical, interrupt based design
