Electrical Engineer, PLC - Solar
Area: Denver, CO

My client is an experienced and dedicated solar electric power company with core competencies in thin film photovoltaics (PV) and thin film deposition equipment. Their proprietary semiconductor technology and equipment have been optimized for automated continuous manufacturing for high throughput and yield resulting in low cost PV modules. They are in search of qualified candidates in their engineer department with the follow skill sets and requirements:

Primary Responsibilities:
- Must be a highly motivated self-starter with a proven track record in specialty machinery and industrial equipment.
- Ideal candidates can effectively work with mechanical and process engineers to develop new electrical designs, and can provide direction for equipment assembly technicians supporting our equipment build.

Education and Certifications
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering

Professional Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience designing, building and debugging electrical systems for industrial equipment

Specific Skills and Knowledge
- Candidates should have a thorough understanding of power distribution, panel layout, and distributed I/O development
- The ability to specify electrical components and develop BOM's is required, and the ability to draw schematics using AutoCAD is a necessity

Special consideration will be given for people with experience in:
- Vacuum systems
- High temperature processes
- Machine building
- Motion control system design and programming
- HMI Development (Citect, Wonderware,Intellution, Proficy)
- PLC based control systems
- PC-based control systems
- Visual Basic, Visual C or C# programming
- Pneumatic system design
- Hands-on electrical aptitude
