Job Details:
Plant/Technical Manager - ETHANOL
Responsible for plant production and directly supervise the operations, lab, and
maintenance teams. The Plant manager maximizes efficiencies of plant operations while
optimizing plant run time, troubleshoots and identifies process needs to maintain
production levels, is accountable for all plant operations, production goals, and lab;
ensures compliance of environmental and health & safety needs of Team Members.
Education:
-
BS, in Engineering, Chemical Engineer preferred. MBA preferred
but not required

Five (5) years experience in an operating processing plant environment such as grain
processing, chemical processing or pharmaceutical.

Additional training in microbiology, team building and Access is helpful.

Familiar or experience with Microsoft applications, DCS control and DCS historian
systems beneficial.
Responsibilities:

Accountable for all plant operations, maintenance, production goals and laboratory
operations.

Approve operations, maintenance and laboratory hiring.

Oversee accountabilities for all aspects of environmental, health and safety of all
plant personnel, plant operations and the community in which we operate.

Supervises professional, technical and support staff on a day-to-day bases, including
determining workloads and schedules, implementing and interpreting policies and
procedures, evaluating and training staff, approving and making hiring and termination
recommendations.

Insure that all city, county, state and federal regulations are being met at all
times.

Strive for maximum efficiency in plant operations, optimize plant up-time or runtime and
minimize all plant downtime.

Ensure that all plant policies are implemented and followed.

Maintain and enforce all safety programs and procedures.

Facilitate communication between departments.

Responsible for budget preparation and cost control for the physical plant.

Present capital request justifications to the General Manager.

Communicate production performance numbers to the General Manager.

Report to General Manager, Shareholders and Board of Directors upon request.

Ability to manage others.
-
Regular attendance.
-
Maintain a team environment with other plant departments.
