Reports to (Title): VP of Service

Compensation Range: $23 to $29 per hour

Other Compensation: 401k plan, tuition reimbursement, laptop, cell phone (blackberry), home office set up with internet connection and laser printer/fax

Position Location: TRI STATE AREA – NY/NJ/PA home based

Hours of Work: Monday – Friday days with overnight travel

% Travel: Up to 60% overnight travel with 40% home. Home most every weekend with a few exceptions for extended trips. Occasional international travel. Some training in Canada immediately after hire so a passport required.


Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Summary:
Excellent opportunity with international pharmaceutical packaging equipment manufacturer that is searching for an Experienced PHARMA Packaging Equipment Technician.

Installation, maintenance and repair of high end electro-mechanical pharma packaging equipment at client sites primarily in and around the Tri-State area of Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York.

Must deliver high level of customer service, maintain thorough knowledge of existing and new equipment and must be flexible with your schedule.


Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:
1. Travel in and around the Tri State area with some limited North America & International Travel
2. Troubleshoot and repair problems, over the phone and on-site
3. Train on + demonstrate various high tech electro-mechanical, automated pharmaceutical packaging equipment
4. Promptly process all paperwork / reports
5. Keep abreast of product changes
6. Assist other techs /production/ engineering with solutions
7. Formal communications with Technical Service Manager for scheduling and issues in the field


Qualifications/Background Required:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 1. Minimum of 3 years experience installing, troubleshooting and repair pharmaceutical packaging equipment. Possible consideration for those with backgrounds in other packaging equipment such as seal and labeling equipment.
2. Field Service/Customer service experience a must
3. Strong PLC troubleshooting skills (Allen Bradley and Siemens) a must have
4. Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical blueprints and schematics

Physical Requirements:
1. Must be able to work in manufacturing environment
2. Must be able to sit, stand or crouch for long periods of time
3. Excellent dexterity with the ability to work in confined spaces when needed
4. Capable of pushing, pulling lifting up to 50lbs

Other Desired Qualifications:
1. Flexible with schedule
2. Live near large regional or international airport
3. Excellent communication skills

Education/Experience:
1. Prefer a minimum of Associates Degree in technical discipline (Automation or Electro-mechanical field)

Computer Skills:
1. Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel
