Summary
We are seeking an experienced renewable energy development professional to help implement
strategies and tactics necessary to develop solar power plant projects for key
investor-owned electric utilities, municipal utilities, independent power producers, and
rural electric cooperatives in the US. We are looking for a team player with proven
ability to achieve results in a fast moving, dynamic environment. The candidate should be
self-motivated and self-directed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
•Responsibility for securing a pipeline of development opportunities via acquisition
and greenfield development.
•Oversight of projects through development process
•Conversion of pipeline into high value operating assets
•Coordination with permitting, resource assessment, construction and design, and
financial analysis throughout the development process
•Working with a team to successfully develop and deploy large scale Power Plants
•Supporting development of partnerships with other Power Plant developers
•Directing submittal of proposals to utilities and independent power producers (IPP)
partners
•Leading negotiations with utilities and IPP partners for sale of plants and/or power
purchase negotiations
•Responsible for all Government compliance filings related to Power Plant development
projects
•Proactive development of key customer relationships
Education and Experience
•Bachelor’s degree required, and MBA preferred
•10+ years experience in utility-scale power plant development and marketing
•Renewable energy industry experience strongly preferred

•Fluency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

•Understanding of utility regulatory environment desired
•Experience with environmental review and permitting processes
•Consistently works with abstract ideas or situations across functional areas of the
business. Through assessment of intangible variables, identifies and evaluates fundamental
issues, providing strategy and direction for major functional areas. Requires in-depth
knowledge of the functional area, business strategies, and the company’s goals.
Erroneous decisions will have a long-term effect on the company's success.
•Interacts internally and externally with executive level management, requiring
negotiation of extremely critical matters. Influences policymaking.
•Directs and controls the activities of one or more functional areas, divisions,
product groups or service areas through senior managers who have overall responsibility
for the successful operation of those assigned areas.
