Description
This position will be responsible for overseeing one of Itron's deployment projects.
Assembles project teams, assigns individual responsibilities, develops project schedules
and is responsible for determining and acquiring resources needed. Must be familiar with
the entire scope and requirements of projects and services as liaison between team members
and functional area management requesting project.
We are looking for someone who has been a program manager of multiple projects. Utility
experience is a plus and experience with managing large project teams and multiple
projects under the umbrella of responsibility is a must.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Project definition - including assumptions, risks, constraints, stakeholders
identification, etc.
- Scope definition, management & prioritization - including creation and
management of SOWs, contracts, etc. (as applicable)
- Schedule creation & management
- Budget development, analysis & management
- Estimating - costs, resources, schedule, etc.
- Deliverables tracking, reviews, etc.
- Issue & risk management - including issues / risk identification, response
planning, escalation, etc.
- Critical thinking and analysis
- Resource / team management - Collaboration, conflict management, managing
contractors & supplemental staff, etc.
- Internal relationship management - including effective collaboration / partnering,
setting & managing expectations, productive & timely communications between
internal Itron stakeholders (PLM, Q/A, Application Engineering, Sales, Hardware &
Software groups, etc.)
- Client management - including collaboration, setting and managing expectations,
regular & timely communications, etc.
- Knowledge and effective use of project management & Itron methodologies
- Proficiency with MS Project, Oracle project & budget forecasting / management,
etc.
- Change management & change control processes
- Project performance metrics / measurements creation & management
Qualifications
- Experience: This position requires a minimum of 8 years of related
experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
- Certification(s): PMI's Project Management Professional (PMP) or the ability to
obtain certification within 6 mos.
- Travel: 75%
