Description

Itron is searching for candidates that will be responsible for providing inside support to the Canadian sales force across all Itron products and customers. This individual will help the Account Executives (AE) service their customers by maintaining legacy business and commercially supporting standard products and contracts. This individual's primary focus will be to relieve some of the standard support roles from the AEs so the AEs can focus on business development

Duties & Responsibilites:
  • Respond to customer requirements for product information as directed by the AE
  • Respond to pricing requests
  • Maintain a price\customer history database
  • Maintain a bid history log (awards)
  • Supporting sales in RFP process, initiating PAF's, working with marketing to spec proposed products, sourcing of supporting documentation, working with marketing and proposals to characterize offering
  • Managing basic technical inquiries between the customer and Itron technical support
  • Work with Sales planners to manage orders
  • Maintain a contract log and initiate renewal process
  • Manage PIL distribution
  • Provide AE backup for customer inquiries when AE is not available
  • Special AE directed projects as required to help AE better position Itron for success
  • Administrate samples and support equipment
  • Prepare equipment for demos and trade shows, manage logistics
  • Monitor bid websites and alert appropriate AE of likely opportunity
  • Support distributor inquires as directed by the AE, work with Marketing to support distributor price lists
  • Develop and maintain customer contact list
Attributes:
  • Will require strong interpersonal skills, time management skills, able to work independently as well as with a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills, fluent (writing and reading) in English and French.
  • Technically proficient, comfortable with the kind of products Itron sells
  • Good computer skills, Outlook, Excel, Word
  • Fast learner and independent thinker who takes initiative
  • An individual who is able to advance to an outside sales position


Qualifications
  • Experience: This position requires a minimum of 1-2 years of related experience
  • Education: High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Language Requirement: Qualified Candidates are required to be fluent in both English and French.
  • Travel: 10 - 30%
