Area: Boston, Massachusetts



Description:

This senior technologist will be responsible for developing technologies and products based in electron accelerator technology. The work will include the simulation, design, testing and optimization of high voltage, high vacuum electron beam products. It will also include the specification of and optimization of power supply requirements to support the systems. The role will be commercially oriented with a strong focus on delivering product to market and performance will be measured against commercially oriented milestones. The individual in this role will be expected to supervise technicians and lower level engineers, to develop project plans and report to management on progress, contingencies and alternatives.



Minimum Qualifications:

PhD in Physics, electrical engineering or similar fields of study

10+ years relevant experience at least 2 of which in an industrial setting

Experience modeling electrons and/or ions using Monte Carlo methods is preferred

Experience with electrostatics and electro-optical modeling is required

Strong written and verbal skills are required
