Job Details:
Our client is seeking to appoint a full time Assistant Wind Analyst to join its development team.

You will have responsibility for the day to day management of growing wind datasets, including data download, inspection and archiving. Working closely with the development team, the Analyst will carry out site assessments, providing input on site layout design and wind turbine suitability. As such, site visits will be a fundamental part of the post.


A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel, is imperative, as is an ability and a desire to become proficient in the use of various wind-specific computer packages. Good communications and Project Management skills are essential.


1-3 years of Wind industry experience would be advantageous.


Roles & Responsibilities

Management of wind data;
Data inspection, cleaning, archiving and reporting;
Design and analysis of wind farm layouts;
Preparation of wind assessment reports;
Specification and management of monitoring masts and equipment, including carrying out site visits and completing planning applications;
The production of wind farm layout plans and wireframes for visual impact assessment.
The post holder will have experience with and be required to use the following wind industry software packages:

Windographer, WAsP, WindFarmer, WAsP Engineering and ReSoft WindFarm.


This position is ideally suited to someone with a strong technical and analytical skill set with a good understanding of basic statistical principals.


The candidate should be a team player, but also self motivated and able to take responsibility for and work on substantive tasks under their own direction. The candidate will be able to demonstrate a systematic and disciplined approach to work with sharp attention to detail.
