Role Purpose:
Our client is the world's largest independent technical and engineering consultancy for
renewable energy. Recognised as the global authority on onshore and offshore wind power
and also serving the wave, tidal and solar sectors.
Working with commercial and academic contacts inside and outside the business, you will
ensure all internal processes are running to plan
This role will serve to support the Head of Marine Renewables in monitoring and reporting
on the progress of the project through liaising with key contacts within the business in
order to assist that the project runs to time and budget. The role is responsible for
maintaining all of the procedural and administrative aspects of the project.
Plan and monitor project expenditure against the project budget.
Maintain the open task list.
Fielding questions, directing them to the relevant project team members.
Produce forecasts and progress reports to Project Manager.
Use Microsoft project to track project progress.
Liaise with commercial and academic clients, finance department, principal investigators
and work package leaders to track progress and provide updates.
Person Specification:
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following qualification,
professional expertise and personal attributes:
Technical / Professional Expertise:
Familiarity with project software such as Microsoft Project.
Desirable:
Experience of working in a Project coordinator role for an engineering consultancy is
highly desirable.
Competency Requirements:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate effectively
at all levels of the organisation.
Excellent time management skills.
Self motivated and proactive, capable of working in multi-disciplined and fast paced
environment.
