Role Purpose:
Our client is the world's largest independent technical and engineering consultancy for
renewable energy, recognised as the global authority on onshore and offshore wind power
and also serving the wave, tidal and solar sectors.
The role is to support current turbine experts in performing technical reviews of turbine
designs, and to support the turbine review work at the group.
Responsibilities include:
Providing support in performing technical reviews of turbines.
Providing local electrical expertise to the Hinnerup office.
Liaising with a wide range of clients, from wind farm developers to financial
institutions.
Managing the project work to ensure delivery of the scope, on time and on budget.
Undertaking grid connection analysis in conjunction with the electrical group.
Reviewing documentation relating to turbine design, turbine components, turbine
manufacturing, turbine verification (certification, component testing and turbine
measurements), and operation and maintenance, including H&S documents.
Producing and delivering presentations to clients.
Providing technical advice, directly to clients and to other parts of the group.
Undertaking site inspections of turbines and turbine assembly.
Participate in R&D projects from time-to-time.
After some experience in the role, the successful candidate can expect to manage the
complete project lifecycle.
Person Specification:
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following qualification,
professional expertise and personal attributes:
Technical / Professional Expertise:
Hold an appropriate degree/higher degree in engineering, or be able to demonstrate
equivalent educational, training, and personal development.
Practical technical experience in turbine design and design verification.
Expert with wind turbine design verification procedures/processes (academic or
industrial/commercial).
Familiarity with wind turbine manufacturing and services of turbines (academic or
industrial/commercial).
Ability to produce clear written reports and communicate verbally in English.
Familiar with working to international standards, national rules and certification body
requirements.
Good IT skills, and experience in using MS Office suite packages.
Ideally, you will have some experience (academic or industrial) of applying electrical
engineering skills, although this is not a compulsory requirement.

Adaptable and able to cope with a wide variety of tasks.
