Description:

Electric Vehicle Network company is looking for a Battery Programs Manager in the Automotive/EV market who will be an integral part of their team. The ideal candidate combines a passion for electric vehicles and new technologies with the ability to make things happen, with the full bandwidth from a hands-on approach to managing external resources and programs.



Duties:

The Manager Automotive Battery Programs is responsible to coordinate, support, and lead technical interaction and projects with automobile manufacturers, battery cell and package suppliers, and related services providers. Focus is on projects and processes pertaining to switchable battery electric vehicles in pilot and production programs, including technical requirements definition, testing and verification of batteries. These efforts need to result in technical definitions and solutions that are applicable in their ecosystem.

- Coordinate and lead technical implementation of batteries for switchable battery electric vehicles in pilot and production programs

- Define and develop technical specifications for automotive batteries. Coordinate and lead battery design, development, and testing/validation phases with the OEMs and the battery vendors. Ensure compatibility of automotive batteries with their solution

- Work closely with their globally distributed teams in R&D. Provide battery technical expertise

- Lead and work in virtual teams across several functions to synchronize, coordinate, and drive projects and programs

- Ensure regional and industry knowledge transfer within the company

- Frequent travel is required

Skills:

- Must have proven track record of accomplishments related to this position

- Past work experience in the battery automotive industry is a must (battery and electric vehicle program at automotive OEM, supplier or battery vendor)

- Strong technical knowledge is required, ideally covering various battery design and development aspects on the system level, such as battery vehicle integration, packaging and mechanical integration, BMS electronics, thermal design, validation testing

- Solid experience in introducing new technologies into products from early technology prototyping to series/product development

- Ability to work in different scenarios from hands-on approach to managing external resources and programs

- Must have strong record of ability to work on multiple projects and programs at the same time, dealing with broad set of issues, maintaining composure even in stressful situations

- Additional language skills is a plus

- International/global experience is a plus

- Strong written and verbal communication skills



Experience:

- Automotive experience in various functional areas (e.g. technical development, technical management)

- Interdisciplinary experience in other industries desirable



Education:

- Bachelor’s degree in related area, Graduate degree highly desired

- Interdisciplinary education in multiple technical disciplines is a plus
